Bolden paid for the items with two counterfeit $100 bills, and one real $100 bill.

On Aug. 24, 2016 Bolden met his second known victim at 1600 Riverside Drive in Monroe to purchase a pair of shoes for $40; the victim had posted the shoes on Facebook. The suspect put the shoes on and asked the victim if they had change for a $100 bill. The victim produced $60, which the suspect snatched from the victim then ran away.

On Aug. 30, Bolden met his third victim at 501 Louisville Ave. in Monroe. The victim was selling two Scorpion stun guns for $15 each. Bolden gave the victim a counterfeit $100 bill, and they gave Bolden $70 in change.

On Sept. 1, Monroe police received knowledge that Bolden was to meet someone at 1 Olive St. in Monroe to “purchase” two handguns that were posted on Facebook. With the information provided police were able to intercept the suspect at the location where he was apprehended and arrested.
